Musee Mecanique: Coin-Operated Fun

Coin-operated machines have been around for generations, and you can see the history of these machines at the Musee Mecanique. Located right at Fisherman’s Wharf, the Musee Mecanique is a great place for tourists and residents. Lots of the exhibits were once located at the old Playland at the Beach. One of the most popular exhibits is of “Laughing Sal,” a coin operated woman who either delighted or scared children for decades. Check out some of the classic arcade games like fortune tellers, the sex appeal test, photo booths and other coin operated gems. Lots of arcade games are on hand to check out and often play, right up to recent video games. With so much to see and do, you and your family will all find something amusing.
